The analysis doesn't only calculate the emissions potentially avoided when second-hand replaces new. It also accounts for emissions generated by marketplace operations, deliveries and packaging.

Replacement rate
The replacement rate expresses how often a second-hand purchase replaces a new one. The Replacement Rate was calculated based on the 18 998 responses from Vend users.
