Vend at Javazone 2025: Our first big step into Norway’s tech scene
This year, we took a leap. Javazone 2025 wasn’t just another tech conference; it was the very first time Vend showed up on Norway’s tech stage. And honestly? It was equal parts thrilling and nerve-wracking.

With FINN.no being such a household name in Norway, we were curious (and a little anxious) about how people would react to Vend, our new identity, our story, and our vision. Would the community get it? Would they care?
The answer became clear within the first hour: yes, and then some.
The booth buzz
Our booth quickly turned into a hive of activity. We met hundreds of people over the two days, developers, designers, product folks, curious students, and industry veterans. Conversations flowed about who Vend is, how we’re connected to FINN, and what the last four months of our journey have looked like since launching the brand.
The energy was contagious. By mid-morning on day one, it already felt like Vend had found a place in the Javazone community.
The FINN Guesser Game
One of the biggest hits? Our FINN Guesser Game. More than 1,000 games were played, with people stopping by to test their knowledge, laugh at their guesses, and, most importantly, have some fun. It wasn’t just a game; it was an icebreaker that helped us start some of our best conversations.
A small sign, a big impact
It might sound simple, but seeing our Vend tote bags all over the venue gave us a huge boost. Everywhere we turned, someone was carrying one; it felt like a moving wave of support and excitement for the brand.
Taking the stage
We also had some shining moments on stage. Our speakers shared stories about FINN’s expansion into Denmark and Finland, and gave the community a closer look at Pristips, our real estate tool that’s helping people better understand home valuations. The sessions were packed, and the discussions that followed showed us that people are genuinely curious about where we’re heading next.
